Thank you for checking out Mach 1 tts version 2 By Jim Kitchen

Mach 1 tts instructions.

I wrote Mach 1 tts specifically for my Logitech MOMO Racing steering wheel joystick. It should work ok with other game controllers as well. However some of the tracks may be very difficult if not impossible to drive via the keyboard.

To play Mach 1 tts, select start game from the main menu. Select a track to run. Enter the number of laps to run. Press the button to start your engine. Wait for the starter to count down to 0. You may play with the gas peddle and horn button while you wait. It will not actually say 0. Instead an air horn will sound. Shift into first gear and accelerate. Your race car has 4 gears. You can get up to a speed of just over 225 miles an hour.

Besides your engine and the crowd you will hear a sound either on the left or right such as a gas can, a song, a woman stopping grapes or whatever. Which ever side it is on, the next turn will be in that direction. The louder the sound gets the closer you are to the end of that straightaway. In the turn, you will also hear a sound on the side of the direction of the turn. Again the louder the sound, the closer you are to the end of that turn. There will be the sound of your tires going over an expansion joint between each straightaway and turn. You will also hear the crowd get louder as you get closer to the wall. If you get too close to the wall you will hear a bumping sound as you have gotten into the marbles. Using the button to report track position you are in the marbles below 4 and above 96.

Pit road is right at the beginning of the front straightaway. Press the button to open pit road. You will now be on pit road. It is a turn and you will hear a warning as to the 50 mile per hour speed limit. You will want to get slowed up to 50 miles per hour by the time that you get to the straight part of pit road. You will now hear it say, Your pit box in, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. You need to get over to that side and stomp on the brakes at about the time that it says the number 2. There are penalties for speeding on pit road, passing your pit box and not being close enough to the wall when you stop. If you get no penalties, you will receive a snack while they change your tires and fill your gas tank.

Please be sure to arrow through the menus and check out the options and features. And have fun racing.
