These sequences are of Rachmaninoff's 24 Variations on a Theme of
Paganini. There are 6 sequences in this archive, covering variations
1-6,7-10,11-15, 16-17, 18, and 19-24. This is because I based the
piano track (see the last paragraph) largely on five 2-piano sequences
of this work (I did the 18th separately for a friend before deciding
to embark on the rest of the work).

You'll need two synths for this because Rachmaninoff used too
many instruments to get these sequence into 16 channels or to accomodate
32-note polyphony. I used the Proteus 2 for most of the orchestral
sounds and the Roland JV1080 for the remainder (Piano, Glockenspiel,
and Harp). (You'll notice that the tracks for the Roland have no
program numbers as this is not required; also note that the word
"Roland" is in the track name). All tracks have been transposed to C.

Lastly I would like to acknowledge one D. Siu, who has uploaded
a 2-piano arrangement of the entire piece to the Classical MIDI
Archies on the Web. I have used the solo piano track as the basis
for the solo part in this and the sequences of the remaining
variations. I've had to make a lot of changes because he/she did
not discriminate between staccato, legato, or tenuto notes in the
piano track. I did the orchestral track myself.
