DANGLING

Bass drum always plays the 1st beat of the bar with an up-beat
before every 3rd beat in the bar. Snare and claps play every 2nd
and 4th beats of the bar while the hi hat plays what you might
call a randomly broken sixteenth beat pattern. Notice the sparse
use of latin percussion in this pattern which provides loads of
space for the rest of the 'band'. The seemingly echoed cabasa
pattern is created by playing triplet eighths - then ramping the
velocity from loud to soft.

The reverse clap effect was programmed by entering sixteenth
triplets from the up-beat of the fourth quarter note - then
ramping the velocity from low to high.
