This is my MIDI "performance" of Bach 2nd Partita in c minor.

The "Partitas" are, IMHO, the finest set of "dance" pieces among the
Bach keyboard large production. There are six of them (some say there
are actually seven, if we include the French Overture).

I remember when I first met them, some 15 years ago, it was not that
easy to dig them. This MIDI version I did carefully, each voice is
directed to a different MIDI channel with a distinct patch; I hope
this makes the pieces easier to grasp. Anyway, they are a lot melodic
and it does not take long before you start loving them.

The pieces are meant to be played in the following sequence:
  SINFONIA - ALLEMANDE - COURANTE - SARABANDE - RONDEAU - CAPRICCIO

MIDI INFO

These are GENERAL MIDI files.

Three sets are included in the file bach_p1.zip:

    File bp2_scc1.zip:
contains the files ready for the Roland SCC-1 soundcard, which
was the MIDI setup I intended for them.

               bp2sinr.mid
               bp2allr.mid
               bp2cour.mid
               bp2sarr.mid
               bp2ronr.mid
               bp2capr.mid

    File bp2_sbw.zip :
contains the files adapted for SoundBlaster+WaveBlaster
(if you have only a naked SB, you MUST edit the midi files
and change some patches, those which sound weird
          in the Voyetra FM)
Note that this is merely a rough adaptation from the SCC-1 MIDI
files, just to make them audible in the SB+WB. Maybe you'd like
to change some patches that might sound better there.
NOTE: The DOS MIDI player from Creative Labs has a bug, which
causes some "tempo" changes in the MIDI files to be
               ignored during playback.
PLEASE play these files under Windows, just in case.

               bp2sinw.mid
               bp2allw.mid
               bp2couw.mid
               bp2sarw.mid
               bp2ronw.mid
               bp2capw.mid

    File bp2_gus.zip:
contains the files for Gravis Ultrasound
Note that this is merely a rough adaptation from the SCC-1 MIDI
files, just to make them audible in the GUS. Maybe you'd like
to change some patches that might sound better there.
And, if you have less than 500Kb, edit the midi files and remove
         some patch calls.

               bp2sing.mid
               bp2allg.mid
               bp2coug.mid
               bp2sarg.mid
               bp2rong.mid
               bp2capg.mid

    Other MIDI setups:
Apart from the first file (the Sinfonia), these are mostly "rough"
MIDI files; there are only a few number of controllers and velocity
changes. Only small adjustments should be needed to get them right
at your setup. The patches ARE important, remember to map them
         using the GENERAL MIDI list.

Let me know how you liked them.
