                              TUBULAR BELLS (PART1)
                                By Mike Oldfield
                             Sequenced by J.D. Mack

This is a sequence of the entire first side of "Tubular Bells."
The software used was Power Tracks Pro, and my own sound module is a
Yamaha TG-100. Your system will need 16 MIDI channels and 37 tracks.
The pitch bend for each channel should be set at 2 semi-tones,
except channel 11, which should be set to 5 semi tones. The program numbers
correspond to the General MIDI standard, with 1 being Acoustic Grand
Piano. The instrument settings I've chosen are what sound closest for the
TG-100 to those on the orignal recording. Feel free to choose others
as it suits your tone generator.

If anyone has a MIDI guitar controller, and wants to re-sequence the guitar
parts in order to make them more expressive, I encourage you to do so.
I don't think my keyboard imitations do those parts justice.

In case I don't resolve the problem of getting my software to encode the tempo
changes so that all other sequencers respond to them, here is the tempo
map:

1:1:1 150
286:1:1 184
356:1:1 162
388:1:1 136
436:1:1 140
507:3:60 147
538:1:1 198
607:1:1 144
655:1:1 202

There are a lot of mix changes throughout (panning, volume, and reverb sends).
It is difficult to stop this piece in the middle, and then try to start
it again at a different point. Be prepared for weirdness if you do.

I have tried my best to duplicate the orignal performance as closely
as possible. There was no purpose in this save for joy of completing such
a demanding exercise. Someone else can tackle "Hergest Ridge!"

Feel free to drop me a line with any comments, particularly common
technical mistakes I may have made in writing a sequence for the public at
large.
