  General features (1.05)

       4 generators
       2 oscillators per generator
Freely link generators (so you can easily build 8-oscillator-sounds!)
4 waveforms (saw, 303-saw, square, sine) + 1 user waveform per oscillator
Oscillator Mix, Oscillator Sync & Phase Adjust
       Pulse Width
Filters: 12/24dB Lowpass, 12dB Highpass and Bandpass with variable Cutoff
       and Resonance
       Ring Modulator
       Frequency Modulation (FM)
LFO on Pitch, Resonance or Cutoff
ADSR + Step gate to cut notes
2 distortion types for each generator
       1 delay unit
       Step Sequencer with Shift up/down/left/right
Random/algorithmic pattern generator (*not* pure random! sometimes
       generates great stuff!)

  Some notes and advice...

There's currently no manual, so you'll have to experiment for yourself ... Some things
can be a bit hard to figure out though, so here are some helpful notes:

When you edit, copy or paste patterns, you are always working on the the
highlighted generator's pattern. At the moment there is only one pattern per
generator, which means that the pattern copy function is only useful for
       copying patterns between generators...
When you use the generator link buttons, settings are not copied between
generators - linking generator one to generator 2 just means moving a slider or
button in generator 1 affects the settings of generator 2 as well. If you want to
copy all the settings of a generator, use the copy and paste functions under
the 404 menu. When deleting generators, you have to re-establish any links...
When using FM (Frequency Modulation) Oscillator 2 will act as carrier, and
Oscillator 1 as modulator. In other words - if you move the oscillator-mix
setting all the way to the left (towards Oscillator 1), only oscillator 1 will play -
you will not hear oscillator 2 at all. To hear the FM'ed sound, move the
oscillator-mix settings to the right (towards Oscillator 2)...

  Known bugs =(

Strange things might happen, if you load a pattern while playing - if you think
something has gone wrong, try restarting the program...

  .RAW Files!

Many of you have been asking the same question: "what are RAW files? how
can I use them??". Well. RAW files are, as the name suggests, RAW sound
data, that is, it doesn't contain any of the information that a normal
sound-player would need to play them back; you have to use a sample editor
(such as Sound Forge) and when opening the RAW file, it will prompt you for
the format details for the sound. If you enter wrong information here, the sound
will be "garbled", and it won't play back correctly. The sound format for RAW
files written by TS-404 is: 44.1 kHz, signed, 16-bit stereo (uncompressed,
Intel format). Note that some sample editors do not recognize the extension
.RAW (such as Cool Edit) and you may have to rename the file to .PCM
instead. We hope this will sort out some of the confusion...
