Configuring your EasyLink / BraillePen

Due to the nature of the communication between your PC and the EasyLink/BraillePen, you will need to manually specify the serial port that the EasyLink/BraillePen is connected via. The EasyLink/BraillePen uses Bluetooth to connect to your PC. The Bluetooth connection is identified by a serial port number (for example, 'COM 3' or 'COM 4').

Open the 'SAM Configuration' window and select 'Tieman/Optelec EasyLink' from the list of devices. Click the 'Configure...' button. The 'Tieman/Optelec EasyLink Configuration' window will be displayed. Select the required serial port (e.g. 'COM 3') from the drop-down list. Click the 'Ok' button to close the 'Tieman/Optelec EasyLink Configuration' window. Click on the 'Detect all devices now' button. Continue the configuration procedure by following the on-screen instructions.
