Installation Instructions.

This installation requires the assistance of the NT Administrator or someone who has security equivalence.

Follow these instructions carefully for a successful installation.

1. Logon as Administrator or someone who has security equivalence and give Administrator privileges to the registered Hal user.

2. Logon as the registered Hal user.

3. Install Hal from the CD or floppy disks.

4. Log off and RESTART the machine.

5. Logon as Administrator or someone who has security equivalence and restore the privileges for the user who is installing HAL.

6. Installation is now complete. Log on as the registered Hal user to run Hal.

Removing Hal from the Machine

1. Logon as Administrator or someone who has security equivalence and give Administrator privileges to the registered Hal user.

2. Logon as the registered Hal user.

3. Use the start menu Run option and run "dolcfgnt -r" from the Hal installation directory, or from the installation CD.

4. You should get a message saying "Interception driver successfully removed". If you get any other message you probably do not have sufficient security permission.

5. Run the Hal uninstallation program.

6. Log off and RESTART the machine.

7. Logon as Administrator or someone who has security equivalence and restore the privileges for the user who is installing HAL.
