SSIL to Infovox220 driver version 1.1
=====================================

Hi everybody

here we send you the version 1.1 of the SSIL to infovox 220 driver.

The new features of the version 1.1 include:
- the number of files you need to run the driver is reduced to two
  (info220.dll and info220.ini)
- all the language specific ini files are included in one single ini file: info220.ini
  (the data of the previous ini files are separated by so called chapter headers.
   e.g. the data of lang_am.ini you will find after the line <SynthLangDef:am>
- info220.dll searches it's ini file as follows:
  1. in the same directory as the dll resides.
  2. in the windows directory
- info220.dll writes a logfile (if specified in info220.ini) to infodll0.log in the windows
  directory. (it will continue in infodll1.log and infodll2.log if it gets to large)
- info220.dll will take the system language from win.ini. If there is no chapter in
info220.ini with the definitions for the actual system language, american english
(enu) is assumed.
  You may also specify another system language in info220.ini.
  (The system language defines in which language menulabels will be returned to the
  application)
- reduction of pause after text that does not end with a period
- It's adapted to English, German ,Spanish and French.
For Italian we have done the most important labels in the ini file.
(for a complete adaptation there is some work left).
Adaptation to another language can be done by changing info220.ini.
To do so please order the up do date technical documentation from alvabraille
 (info220.doc)

with kind regards

A) Basic Installation
- copy info220.dll to the directory where your application likes to have it.
- copy info220.ini to your windows directory
- (if you want to run different applications with different info220 ini files, you may
copy info220.ini to the same directory as info220.dll)

B) Installation with Jaws for Windows from Henter Joyce (Version 2.xx.xx)
(installation for Ver 1.2x see chapter D))
1. the [options] section in c:\jfw\settings\enu\default.jcf (c:\jfw\settings\deu\default.jcf)
must contain:
Synthini=info220

2. copy the files info220.jsf and info220.dll to your jaws directory.

3. for a good handling of punctuation and language foreign characters
   we recommend:
- add the following line to the [synonyms] section of your symbols.ini
  info220=Infovox
- set the punctuation mode in the configuration wizzard to "controlled by synthesizer"
- punctuation in the voice setting of the keyboard voice must be set to "value 3"
- if you work with other languages than english:
  remove all definitions in your *.jdf files for characters \192 and above.

C) Installation with Jaws for Windows from Henter Joyce (Version 1.2x)

1. the [options] section in c:\jfw\settings\enu\default.jcf (c:\jfw\settings\deu\default.jcf)
must contain:
Synthini=info220j

2. copy the files info220.jsf and info220.dll to your jaws directory.

3. rename info220.jsf to info220j.ini
(Caution: with Jfw Version 1.2x this file must not be named info220.ini !!!!! because info220.ini is the ini-file of the ssil driver.)

4. for a good handling of punctuation and language foreign characters
   we recommend:
- add the following line to the [synonyms] section of your symbols.ini
  info220=Infovox
