<< Gort's MiniPiano >>

Gort's MiniPiano offers 40 varied Piano voices in a ridiculously small size. It's only 39 Kilobytes and contains 6 Acoustic Pianos and 34 Electric or Synth Pianos. Part of the reason for doing this was to show how much can be done with very small SoundFonts, and although it's a bit of fun, it's also presented as a serious and useable SoundFont.

Most of the voices are original, but a couple duplicate the Piano sounds on <<Gort's Synth>>, (77 Kb with 185 instruments). If you like varied and original sounds, I've also made several other Soundfonts which have all sorts of voices on them, far more experimental than on this, available for free download on the Internet.

On my 5-octave keyboard all the voices seem to be OK and in tune, but beyond that 5 octaves I've hardly checked. If this were a commercial venture I'd put the time in to make sure, but as it's free you can sit there and blubber if it isn't. I'm aware that you can't play an Everlasting Chord on the Acoustic Pianos, but what do you want for 39k?

This soundfont may not be sold or included in any commercial transaction, wholly or in part, or re-constructed in any way, but feel free to use the sounds in any musical recordings.

Have Fun
Gort
