### For those who aren't familiar with my Soundfonts, they're intended as an Antidote to the GM set, for recording and experimental musicians. I've tried to make the voices varied and musically useful, not just strange FX.
### There are lots of non-standard timbres and Synth sounds, and most of the voices are fairly complex and richly-textured, but I do know there are lots of people who like those thin and "retro" (also called pass) sounds, so dive in fellas, they're in here somewhere.
### They'll mostly be useful to musicians who want something a bit out of the ordinary or who are fed up of GM voices. I don't know for what bizarre and perhaps perverted uses you may need certain strange sounds, but it's certain one of these Soundfonts will be ideal.
### Some attempt has been made to organise similar sounds together in groups in the bigger soundfonts.

Sorry, but these soundfonts don't work on Audigy cards, I've tried them and they go all wrong. They've been designed to work on a Soundblaster Live and if you can get them to work on anything else, then that's a bonus. The new Audigy is a different Soundcard with a different chip and different everything else, so it's not surprising.

On my 5-octave keyboard all the voices seem to be OK, but beyond that 5 octaves I've hardly checked. If this were a commercial venture I'd put the time in to make sure, but since it's free you can sit there and blubber if it isn't. You'd probably never want to use those end notes anyway.

There should be 6 Soundfonts in the compilation :
Gort's-Synth 185 preset voices / 77Kb unzipped
Gort's-Extras 151 preset voices / 59Kb
Gort's-MiniPiano 40 preset voices / 39Kb
Gort's-Filters 128 preset voices / 67Kb
Gort's-Midget-Soundfont 13 preset voices / 3Kb
Gort's-DoubleDecker	256 preset voices / 65Kb

If you've got this Soundfont Compilation with this text file, then you've got the latest versions of my Soundfonts. So I recommend you replace any old existing versions with these later ones. I've made a few minor improvements here and there. (All the voices sound the same and remain in the same place, don't worry.)

These soundfonts may not be sold or included in any commercial transaction, wholly or in part, or re-constructed in any way, but feel free to use the sounds they make in any musical recordings.

And I hope you've been able to make use of what I've done so far. I'm that typically British thing, the plucky amateur, but there's limits to my pluck, so if you find this Soundfont useful, I'd appreciate a message at
gort@callnetuk.com to let me know there was some point to it all.
