#1# As with its companion soundfont Gort's-Synth, I decided that for ease of use I should try to group similar voices together in banks of 8, but NOT in the dreaded GM layout. Effectively these two are "similar-but-different" Soundfonts, but this one's probably more adventurous. And again I've tried to combine variety and playability, so most of the voices should be musically useful.
#2# There's also lots of extra instruments in the 2nd. layer, not in any particular order but loosely grouped. There's just over 150 voices all told, but no drums.
#3# If you find this Soundfont useful, I'd appreciate a message at
gort@callnetuk.com to let me know that I wasn't wasting my time (at least more than usually.)
#4# On my 5-octave keyboard all the voices seem to be OK and in tune, but beyond that 5 octaves I've hardly checked. If this were a commercial venture I'd put the time in to make sure, but as it's free I shan't be doing so. Some of the sounds don't quite extend the full 5 octaves, that's because the samples don't stay in tune beyond their given range.
#5# If you're wondering what the notes for Lucy In The Sky are when you get to it,
play E5 A5 E6 G5 E6 A5 F#5 A5 E6 F5 D6C#6 A5.
#6# I made this soundfont with the reverb in Environmental Audio set at 6%, in case the reverb sounds odd on your machine.

This soundfont may not be sold or included in any commercial transaction, wholly or in part, or re-constructed in any way, but feel free to use the sounds in any musical venture. I hope you can make good use of it.

Have fun
Gort
