Dictionary Calls (UNIX only)

The DECtalk Software comes with a main dictionary which is a compiled list of words and their associated phonemic interpretation. This main dictionary is loaded during the startup function. In addition to a main dictionary, users can create and load their own user dictionaries.

The TextToSpeechLoadUserDictionary call is used to load a user dictionary created with the User Dictionary Build Tool.

The TextToSpeechUnloadUserDictionary call is used to unload a user dictionary.
