To play this black jack game type blackjak and press enter. The object of
black jack is to get 21 or be closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.
An ace can count as 1 or 11 points. Face cards and the 10 count as 10. All
other cards count as their face value. If your first two cards are and ace and
a face card or 10 that is a black jack and you automatically win unless the
dealer also has a black jack. To hit or get another card press h. To stay
press s. To double down press the d key. To double down means that your bet
will automatically be doubled and you will be given one more card. The dealer
will hit on 16 and below and stay on 17 and above.

Before you start playing you will be asked how many decks of cards that you
want to play with. You will also be asked how much money you want to start
with.

I wrote the program so that my speech synthesizer is not talking while a sound
file is being played. If your synthesizer is still talking when the sound
files start or if there is a long pause between the speech and the sound files
you can adjust the delays from the command line. Start the game with the /d
switch. such as: blackjak /d xxx Where xxx is the delay value. the default is
100. You can also play the game without the male voice by starting the game
with the /noduke switch. Such as blackjak /noduke starting the game with a
/nocash switch will omit the cash register sound and /noslide will omit the
slide up and down sounds.

The function keys are built in macro keys. Pressing:

F1 speaks your cash and bet amount
F2 speaks your cards
F3 speaks the dealers cards
F4 speaks your options

Also you can toggle the speaking of the repeated information by pressing the t
key. You can place the same bet by pressing the enter key when asked for your
bet. You can bet a percent of your cash by typing a % sign after a value. such
as 10%.

My joystick trigger will act as the h key for a hit or as the space bar when
asked to continue. The top button on my joystick will act as the s for stay
and the e for exit when asked to continue or
 exit.

You may also read these instructions by typing at the dos command line
type blackjak.txt | more
