I recently had JAWS installed in my computer.  I just had to write
to you to let you know what I think of the program.  In a
word....great!   With JAWS, I am totally independent in my craft. 
What a feeling of accomplishment!  Jaws is so easy to use.  It
facilities any task I perform on the computer.  It' a perfect
companion. I admire your expertise in creating such a program and

Mr. John Hunt of Tampa, Florida, had lived "in a vacuum" as he puts
it, since he lost his sight in 1987.  Then he learned about JAWS
from the Tampa Lighthouse.  "JAWS is wonderful", said John. 
Because of JAWS I don't have to have someone write checks or
letters for me.  I can make memos and notes to myself.  This is
what JAWS did for me in the first five weeks, and I have just
scratched the surface.


JAWS takes a bite out of unemployment for Nebraska's blind:  Dale
Hayes, a counselor with Nebraska's Services for the Visually
Impaired, has found a new employment source for his clients.  With
the help of the JAWS program, Dale had placed three blind
individuals as reservationists with Hyatt Hotel's worldwide
reservation center in Omaha.  The only barrier was in a non-sighted
person being able to see and retrieve the information.  By adapting
JAWS to the computer system, the barrier was overcome.


I know how to use a computer.  So what, you might ask!  Well,
that's after being told by a number of people that it would be
impossible for me to learn how to use one of these contraptions,
because I was already over fifty, and also blind.  To sum it up,
because of the JAWS program  I have been launched into a whole new
exciting era of distinct possibilities, and my thanks go to you for

Here is an excerpt from the Journal of Visual Impairment and
Blindness:  The Experts Simplified Your Choice of Screen Readers. 
When the American Foundation for the Blind conducted an evaluation
of seven screenreaders, the big winner was the consumer.  

"OF all the screen access programs that have been evaluated, JAWS
(Job Access With Speech) took the least effort to learn and
operate.  Its ease of learning and use is predominately due to its
well thought out documentation, its powerful pop-up menu system and
its consolidated use of the keyboard.  An exceptional
characteristic is the program's logical and easy to use keyboard
layout.  Learning to use the JAWS program is not a tedious
procedure.  Learning how to use JAWS on the more basic level is
fun; it shouldn't take to long for the individual to be ready to
take on its more advanced functions."

Job Access With Speech (JAWS) screen reading software, which has
made it possible for me to perform my duties and responsibilities
as a Human Resources Management Specialist for the Department of
Veterans Affairs.  Without your company's excellent product, I
would still be "disabled," unable to accomplish the work expected
of my sighted colleagues.

JAWS is designed with careful attention to important details and. 
JAWS is extremely adaptive to other technology, and has therefore
