Introducing JFW Version 3.0
for Windows 95

(Scheduled for release, third quarter 1997)

This product is a major leap forward in screen reading technology.

* 32Bit - Of course, JFW 3.0 is a "real" 32 bit application.  This
means that it takes advantage of all of the power and sophistication
available in Windows 95. It also means faster response, even with
software voice synthesizers. That's right! JFW 3.0 supports
Microsoft Speech API (SAPI). Now you can use JAWS with software
synthesizers like FlexTalk.

* Active Accessibility - JFW 3.0 supports Active Accessibility in
Windows 95. If you need to use the latest applications that have
built-in Active Accessibility like the Office 97 Suite or Internet
Explorer, JFW 3.0 is already enabled for them.

* DOS Window Support - All the power of JFW 3.0 is available in a
DOS Window. There is no longer any need to switch to a DOS screen
reader to run DOS applications.

* Improved Help Facilities - JFW 3.0 has three improved help
functions:
* Keyboard Help - Press Insert + 1 to enter Keyboard Help
mode and each keystroke describes its function. * Screen Sensitive
Help - Press Insert + F1 to hear a description of the current focus
item and how to use JAWS with it.
* Hot Key Help - Press Insert + H
for a list of hot keys that are available in the current dialog.

* Keyboard Manager - Use the Keyboard Manager to browse and change
JAWS keys for any application or all applications. Each key
assignment is accompanied by a description of its function.

* Configuration Manager - Customizes any of the JFW standard
settings for the current application or across all applications.
For instance, while you are working in a DOS Window at a command
prompt, you might want to hear all text as it appears in the window.

* Dictionary Manager - Lets you store special pronunciations for the
current application or across all applications.

* Frame Manager - Lets you create screen boundaries and then have
that area monitored for automatic reading of all, highlighted or no
text. You can assign a frame to a key so that you can read the area
on demand. This feature is available on an application basis or
across all applications.

* Script Manager - Lets you modify JFW 3.0 standard scripts or
create your own to accommodate even the most difficult, non-standard
Windows applications.

* Braille Display Support - The Braille support lets JAWS send
output to any of the most popular Braille displays along with the
standard speech output.
