TACH.EXE is a very low-level benchmarking program.

Currently, two tests are finished: CPU test and disk test.

The CPU test times individual instructions and tells you the
number of clocks, on average, the instruction takes on your
machine. Intel CPUs are required for meaningful results (AMD
is okay, for example, but most likely not Cyrix486, etc.).
Instructions through POPF are times (ran out of time, the
rest will be included in the next release).

The disk test requires MFM or IDE drives. It performs several
tests, including RPM measurement. If the RPM speed cannot be
determined (i.e., if it tests < 3600RPM), then 3600 is presented
as the RPM.

Use Atl-X from the main screen to exit to DOS.
