for split window display or as programmable status cells. Click any
TouchSensor above one of the 65 braille cells to instantly move
the mouse pointer or cursor to a new location for editing. Other

PowerBraille (tm) 80 is an 81-character, 8-dot braille display for
desktop computers. The unit's full 80+1 display is ideally suited
for programmers or those working with highly formatted text. For
example, the extra cell clearly separates 2 equal 40-cell sections
in split display mode. Click any TouchSensor (tm) above one of the

a new location for editing. Other features include on-line Grade 2
braille translation, two serial and one parallel interface, and a
printer pass-through port. PowerBraille 80 is also fully compatible

TeleBraille (tm) III enables a deaf-blind person and a person using
a TDD (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) to communicate by
telephone. The system can also be used for face-to-face
communications between a deaf-blind person and a sighted person.
TeleBraille III includes a TDD unit with a 20-cell braille display
and braille keyboard.

Audible Signage

Marco (tm) Audible Signage opens a whole new world in mobile
independence and accessibility for the visually impaired and blind
user. Marco transmitters emit an infrared beam with pre-programmed
messages which are picked up by hand-held receivers. Carrying the
lightweight receiver, the user hears the messages and is able to
navigate unfamiliar places with ease. Installed in a variety of
locations from airports, bus stations, hotels, libraries, office
buildings, Marco is a system that puts orientation and navigational
assistance in the palm of your hand.

Software

ScreenPower (R) for Windows 95 (tm) provides complete tactile and
audio access to Microsoft Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 (tm) for blind
users. Taking advantage of the longer display lengths of the
PowerBraille 65 and 80, users can display information from
different parts of the Windows environment and even surf the
Internet with braille through an Internet browser. SPWin 95 also
features integrated braille and speech access so that users can
decide which information is spoken and which is shown on the
braille display. SPWin 95 also gives users the freedom to choose
between two access modes: Overview Mode and Explore Mode. Using a
Telesensory braille display makes Windows Help easier to use by
underlining in braille hyperlinks for clear identification.

New! JAWS for Windows from Henter-Joyce, Inc., is an easy-to-use
screen reader for Windows-based computing. Features include a Key
Identifier in the help mode where JFW tells you what each key does
when pressed, access to Word, Excel, Netscape, and Internet
Explorer, multi-lingual support, voice recognition support, sound
card support, and much more.

ScreenPower (R) Speech operates with a variety of speech
synthesizers to provide audio access to DOS applications. Features
include automatic reading of user-defined windows, highlight and
soft cursor tracking, customizable hotkeys and an easy-to-use macro
language. Compatible speech synthesizers include DECtalk PC,
portable DECtalk Express, PCMCIA compatible Pulse Data Voice Card
and others. Now available to download from: www.telesensory.com
free of charge. Downloaded version entitles user to technical
support by email only. For complete documentation and one year of
call-back technical support, please contact Telesensory's customer
service department.

Braille Explorer for OS/2 is a custom set of profiles that support
braille output to PowerBraille displays by using the IBM (R)
ScreenReader Profile Access Language. It also provides integrated
braille and speech output so that users get the best of both
worlds. Using PowerBraille's TouchSensor (tm) strip, braille users
can click on a sensor to place the mouse pointer on a desired word,
character or icon in any window making the process more efficient
than tapping arrow keys on the keyboard.

UNIX environments are also accessible with Telesensory's products.
Third party developers have made access possible through
Telesensory's PowerBraille refreshable displays. Developers at
Oregon State University have created a direct UNIX interface based
on the program "Screen." Modification to "Screen" allows the user
to directly view each session on a braille display. Log on to the
Telesensory web site at: http://www.telesensory.com to download
"Screen".

Reading Systems

Domino (tm) Portable Reading System is the world's first truly
portable standalone reading machine. Its small size and light
weight make Domino ideal to take with you anywhere. Since Domino is
the first reading system in the world capable of operating on
batteries, you can even read on the run. Domino's "Boundless
Reading (tm) " improves accuracy due to the ability to scan a page
all the way to the binding. Domino solves the problem of garbled
characters caused by the "tent-like" effect when text is
recognized. It also features a simple control panel with tactile
and visually distinct buttons.

New! EZReader (tm) PC Computer-Based Reading System utilizes the
same unique, user-friendly control panel as Domino. Same simplicity
as Domino (tm) with the flexibility of running on your own PC.
Utilizes soundcard speech technology available on many PCs already.
Runs under Windows 95.

OsCaR (R) is a computer-based application which scans and
recognizes a broad range of typefaces and type sizes, from 6- to
72-point. The menu-driven system is extremely easy to use,
providing quick feedback regarding the scanned document and
automatically rotating the page image for correct orientation.

Braille Embossers

VersaPoint Duo (tm) is Telesensory's newly designed interpoint
embosser. Two-sided printing and higher speed accelerates your
productivity while saving paper and time. VersaPoint Duo was
designed to create high quality braille consistently on 20 to 100
lb. paper. It can print 6 or 8-dot braille and tactile graphics up
to 60 characters per second. VersaPoint Duo also features added
insulation for reduced noise level, easy-to-use keypad, tractor
feed or single sheet mode, 80 and 160 column modes, pre-programmed
configurations, and character sets that the user can customize.

VersaPoint (tm) prints single-sided braille at 40
characters-per-second on a variety of continuous feed paper.
VersaPoint's five user-definable configurations and eleven built-in
languages make it one of the most versatile braille printers
available. VersaPoint supports multiple copies, graphics printing
and landscape printing. A 5-position paper impact level knob allows
use of different paper weights. VersaPoint can be connected via
either parallel or serial port.
