ScreenPower For Windows 95

ScreenPower for Windows 95 (SPWin95)brings real access options to blind users of Microsoft Windows. Compatible with Windows 95 and Windows 3.1, SPWin95 offers different reading modes, integrated braille and speech output, and a host of other features to deliver the information Windows users require.
Harness the Power of Windows
ScreenPower for Windows 95 puts the strength and flexibility of Microsoft Windows in an easy-to-use screen reading package. SPWin95 identifies elements by function, presenting them in a logical and consistent order. Icons, scroll bars, buttons, menus and dialog boxes are all immediately understandable and accessible.

SPWin95 installs easily from DOS and is compatible with Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. SPWin95 provides either integrated braille and speech access or braille or speech only options.

Focus Tracking
SPWin95 automatically tracks focus shifts to ensure that the user never gets lost. Wherever the user moves in Windows, SPWin95 provides instant feedback on the selected control, menu or window. Whether navigating with Windows hot keys, or controlling movement with a braille display, the user always knows the element of focus, including name, type and status.

Two Access Modes
SPWin95 is the only screen reading program which offers true access choices. Two access modes, as well as standard Windows commands are always at the user's fingertips. Once the desired control is located, the user can replicate a mouse click with a single keystroke.

Overview Mode	New!
SPWin95's Overview Mode provides an accurate overview of the visual layout of the screen. The user has full command of horizontal and vertical movement, with the ability to read by character, by word, by line or the entire screen.

Explore Mode
The Explore Mode allows complete access to all levels of Windows information. By grouping items in a clear, logical structure, Explore Mode eliminates the need for memorization and guessing. Any screen object or function can be readily located, identified and selected - users can even access "hidden" icons or windows without moving or closing applications.

Powerful Braille Output
SPWin95 lets users get the most out of their braille display. In addition to standard braille functions, the system supports other advanced features, such as instant cursor routing, drag and drop control and split-display mode.

With braille, users can easily filter out extraneous information, and since it is unobtrusive, they can read and input screen information while speaking on the phone.

Split Displays	New!
SPWin95's split-display feature turns a single braille display into multiple output devices. By separating the display into distinct "windows," information from different areas of the program, or even from different programs can be shown simultaneously. For example, in Microsoft Excel, cell location, formula and contents can all appear on a single line of braille.

Versatile Speech Output
SPWin95 automatically reads menus and dialog boxes as they appear on the screen for immediate audio feedback. Users can set speech function personal preferences including speed, pitch and the quantity and type of information presented.

The ScreenPower Menu
SPWin95's menu system provides quick and easy access to SPWin95 functions. Braille, speech, cursor settings and more are available at any time, from within any application.

The Best of Both
SPWin95 lets the user choose what information is spoken and what is shown on the braille display. Users can take advantage of the excellent editing capability and detailed output of braille, then use speech for feedback from commands, quick overview of content and automatic feedback from pop-up messages. SPWin95's integrated approach allows users the freedom to capitalize on the unique strengths of each.

Control Over Configuration
While SPWin95 works straight out of the box with most applications, special configurations can maximize efficiency. SPWin95 provides three configuration levels to let all Windows users, from novices to experts, tailor their system to suit their needs.

Window Wizard	New!
The Window Wizard lets users choose the type and sequence of information supplied. This simplifies the use of complex screens where the most important information is not always the first presented.

Element Editor	New!
The Element Editor provides complete control over element presentation. Change the name and type of information presented about any control to be more descriptive.

Microsoft Visual Basic	New!
SPWin95 uses the scripting language Visual Basic to let users write their own macros. With this standard Windows macro language, advanced computer users can automate tasks or configure SPWin95 to work seamlessly with any Windows application.
