Welcome to WinVision version 2.1
This version has braille support for TSI ALVA, and TIEMAN displays.

Installing:

The installing is automated, and closely resembles
the install process for the previous version of WinVision.

Unzip the files in the zip file into an empty directory on your hard
disk or on to a floppy.

Switch to the directory or floppy with the install files.
Type WINSTALL along with your Windows directory.
Example:

WINSTALL C:\WINDOWS <enter>

Follow the prompts, When It asks you if you want braille support
press Y. You will then be asked for you braille display type and
port number to use. After the install is finished you should be able
to start up Windows and have braille support.

You do not need to modify your System.ini file, the install process
will make the necessary changes.

If you want to make changes to your braille setup, exit windows
and switch to the directory or floppy with the install files. Type
BINSTALL along with your Windows directory.
Example:

BINSTALL C:\WINDOWS <enter>

Follow the prompts as before.

Braille docs:

There is a braille options dialog off WinVision's main menu.
It contains the options pixels per space, and cursor type.
Pixels per space is use to set how many pixels make up a space.
Its designed to give a rough feel for the formatting on the screen.
For example, if you have pixels per space set to 5 and your on a
text line that starts at X=20, then on the braille line you will
see 4 spaces and then the start of the text. If you don't want to see
any screen formatting then set pixels per space to zero.

Cursor type sets the braille cursor type. The choices are block
which is all pins up, and line which is pins 7 and 8 up.

The keys on your display should be set up for Up-down line, left-
right word, pan left and right and up-down display buffer.
Cursor routing should work for Alva, TSI and Tieman displays when
you are in text editing mode.

On TSI displays the left paddle is the Up-Down buffer. The right
paddle is Up-Down line. The middle left and right keys are pan
left and right, and the top left and right keys are left and right
word.

On Alva displays the arrow keys are up-down line and left-right
word. The Program key toggles between pan and scroll buffer.
The Home key is previous for either pan or scroll buffer and the
cursor key is next for either pan or scroll buffer.

On Tieman's Combibraille the keys on the left side on the front panel are
the Up and down buffer. The keys on the right side of the front panel
are the pan left or right. The keys on the top are from left to right, home
up, left, right, down and end.

On Tieman's MiniBraille the keys are from left to right,
pan left/buffer back, pan right/buffer foward, up, left,
toggle pan scroll, right and down.
