Congo - Caution
 March 18, 1992

The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to exercise caution
when traveling to the Congo. The Congo is currently calm. However,
visitors are cautioned that because of the volatile political
situation, the potential for unrest exists, and will continue at
least through June 1992, when the election period is scheduled to
end.

Travelers to the Congo should register upon arrival with the
Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Brazzaville, on Avenue
Amilcar Cabral, B.P. 1015, Telephone 83-20-70.

 No. 92-52

This advisory replaces the previous advisory, issued January 21,
1992, to reflect the end of armed clashes.
