Subject: GUS for music

Hi,

I use the GUS to compose music, enter music scores that I like (Raider's
march, classical, etc.) so I can change the dynamics, feeling, etc. I'm
not good enough to perform, but the GUS is!

Hello there! I'm a GUS musician too!
I use the GUS mainly as a sampler/sample player for my band in Sweden.
We play neo-gothic music - inspired by Sisters, Nephilim, the Cranes,
and early Cure. The band name is Sindy's Dreamroom (after Barbie's
competitor). I find the GUS a cheap alternative to a professional sampler.
What annoys me is the need to drag the entire computer on stage, though.
Is there any way to hook the GUS up externally to my Compaq Contura 4/25
which I already haw a paralell port MIDI interface for (Voyetra VP11)?
I suppose not . . . too bad.
The rest of the setup consists of a Rhodes Model 660 (excellent sample player),
a BOSS DR550 drum machine, Mackie 1202 mixer, Fostex 4-track, 2 electric
guitars, bass, real percussion.
If anyone's interested in a demo please send me a note. BTW, is it possible
to send a demo over the net? I heard it was, but I doubt anyone's interested
in such large files.

I was just curious as to if anyone is using the Midifier program included
with the GUS software under OS/2 2.1? I can get Playmidi to work fine in a DOS
session but the Midifier program does not seem to recognize MIDI at all. Any
suggestions?...

Subject: Two problems :(

(1) Since updating my disks some time ago to the latest version,
PowerChords has stopped working! It *did* work with 2.06a (that's
what shipped with my board), and yes, i have the drivers set to
    Conserve Memory...

(2) How does one insert triplets using MidiSof? There is a triplet
sign (the number `3' with a curved line over it) in the palette, but i
can't figure out how to use it...

..thanks in advance for what i hope will be simple answers...
