Subject: better trumpet patch

Does anyone out there have a real high-quality trumpet patch? One of my
MIDI files plays it very high, and it sounds like a shrieking sound at
such a high-frequency. I don't really care about the size too much
as I have a 1 meg GUS.
 Thanks

I'd like to echo David Mitchell's comments from yesterday. I
went looking for ProPats 2 (ppats2*.*), 2pat, etc, after some
kind soul gave me a pointer to their location on archive.epas
and by the time I got the request in to pick them up, they
disappeared.

I have to do ftp-by-mail, it takes me a day to get a directory
listing and another day to get a file, minimum. It's really
hard for me to pick up a file if it moves around a lot. Perhaps
the archive maintainer can put some kind of file in the submit
directory indicating where files from here get moved to when
they move. I understand that stuff can only stay in the submit
directory for so long.

(I got the ls-lR file from archive.epas, but that didn't seem
to be up to date, or didn't list the files I was looking
for either).

The files that were in the submit directory are in the process of being
"validated". The "validated" files should reappear in a few days (if they
haven't already), but in the appropriate subdirectory.
