                       TRACKER FILE DESCRIPTION UTILITY

I'm an avid 4DOS lover when I'm out of Warp or in a DOS box. I
just can't stand MSDOS. And I have so many tracker files (MTM, MOD, S3M,
669, ULT, you name them) that I used to manually enter their titles in a
DESCRIPT.ION file "a la 4DOS". What a pain...
So I started this thing in Turbo Pascal 6.0. I wrote it a year ago
and since then, I lost the source. I know that it supports MTM, MOD, S3M,
and 669, but I'm not sure about FAR, ULT and STM. The last thing I
remember is that I was working on ULT... Anyways, I won't update the
program since I'm too busy for that. But it gives an idea for other
programmers out there.
The program will scan any files in the current directory, detects
the format of the file, extracts the title and number of channels and write
everything in a 4DOS DESCRIPT.ION file. That file can also become a
kind-of catalog.
The thing is totally freeware. Do whatever you want with it.

HOW TO USE DESC.EXE:

Easy, just run it from your tracker files' directory.
