Hi all.

I'm new at making mods, and am having trouble recording clean samples.
There always seems to be a fair amount of static/noise in the background... It
isn't so bad that you can't hear what's being sampled though. If any one has
any tips, on how to make good samples (or general pointers on making mods), I'd
love to hear them.
BTW, I'm using a regular Gus with 1 mb, scream tracker 3.2, gold wave, and
cool wave. Also is there any way to get rid of the ultraclicks? Right now I s
ample more than I need, and then use the offset to get rid of any clicking
noises. It seems to work (most of the time), but its a waste of space for the

samples though.

Oh, and I was also wondering where I can get some sort of .pat to .smp
file converter, and a few good samples....

     Thanx...
       Max

The box is very unclear about this. I was hoping to avoid buying it, being
disappointed ,and returning it for lack of memory space.

Yep, that's what I mean. As part of my retentive cable arranging, I'm
trying to eliminate things like the GUS box in my rack.
