From PAIDFULL.TXT
-----------------
Main loop from Eric B. and Rakim's "Paid in full". It also includes the
closed hihat loop (only hihats) from the beginning of the instrumental
version (it goes on for 2 bars). I have made it into a .pow file at
somebody's request and it included the melody but not the bassline. This
is a stripped down version with just the general midi drums (i use TR808
patches on this with hihats from TR909) to see what people will do with
it on the GUS musician list where some people have proposed a GUSjam, like
the original NetJam idea. So, just say what you added, your name and email
below, and give a new revision number when zipping the .pow and .txt.

BTW, you can add whatever you like. You can of course add other parts from
Paid in Full but it would be more interesting if you added non related music.
For example, this loop has been used on PM Dawn's "Set adrift on memory
bliss" at around 98 bpm compared to the original at over 100 bpm (i have
set it at 108 bpm, but you can change it. You can also change the volume
of individual drum sounds too...)

Additional Tracks
-----------------
I intended to add a track, then re-post the combination, but got a bit
carried away. I ended up doing a bass line and a sawtooth wave chord part,
then expanding the percussion and giving them both solos. I'm not very
pleased with the improvised melody. Use it, change it, or replace it all.
I do like the way the synth bass sounds with the drum loop, and I think the
sawtooth is the right choice for the chord part, but perhaps a guitar player
can find a more suitable pick pattern to put with it. Treat the chord part
as a "scratch" track to hold the chord structure until its replaced by
the next jammer.
