These files are for the non-GUS owner to audition the card (within
limitations).

Each GUSWAV*.ZIP file contains a MIDI file plus a WAV of the GUS playing
a short segment of that MIDI file in Windows.  Each WAV was recorded in
8-bit at 22050 kHz, mono, and will give you a general idea of what the
GUS sounds like, but keep in mind that there is significant sound
degradation in 1) the recording step, and, if the soundcard you play it
on has poor digital playback (e.g. SB and SBPro), 2) the playback step.
Also, 8-bit recordings have substantial inherent quantisation noise.
The GUS sounds much better live.
