When Patch Maker came out, I tried my hand at recreating some of my
favorite patches from the D10 onto the GUS. I sampled using 8 bits
and mostly 22 kHz (I've only got the basic GUS hardware 2.2).
Trying to loop these patches by ear almost drove me crazy, and although
I may have done an ok job, I'm sure just about anyone else out there
could do an even better one. If you like any of these patches enough
to tweak them up, please let me know and send me the changes, so I can
update the archive with revision numbers and put your name in lights.
I'm also open to any suggestions, and I have already grabbed the
excellent windows patch making tutorial (currently PATREF23.ZIP).

Turns out (from my last posting on the musicians digest) that I chose not
to use multisamples when I made these patches. I distinctly remember
(it was months ago) that I sampled at least 5 octaves for each patch when
I started. What I don't remember is why I didn't use those multisamples
in the patches, since it looks like only D10FLUT3 has more than one sample
in it.
