Is there a type of readcda for SCSI CD-ROM drives (for Toshiba 3401)?
Thanks. -Peter

Dave, I share your activities in a brass band.
I myself play Eb Bass. So consequtnly I have been working
on scores for brass band and to be sure that all sounds right,
a set of brass band patches would be very welcome.
I have however on earlier occasions tried to get some patches,
but no such luck. I guess we have to do them ourselves.
If you strike lucky, I be interested to have them as well.

Theres a file out there called patref, written by John Capps.
It says in the FAQ its in ftp.netcom.com: pub/jtcapps. This is slightly out
it should be ftp://ftp.netcom.com/pub/jt/jtcapps/patref24.zip

Subject: gus piano patches compared to digital pianos

Hi all,

How does the best GUS piano patch compare with the piano
sounds in commercial digital pianos ??

The reason I'm asking it that I've got a GUS (and its lovely)
and I want to learn to play the piano!

I thinkt I need a fully (piano) weighted keyboard
with at least 76 keys. My options are ..

1) buying a master keyboard like the FATAR 900 and then
hooking it up to my GUS

2) buying a second hand Yamaha Clavinova or similar.

With the first option, I can get a better (more piano-like)
keyboard but will it sound as good.

Ive got my GUS amplified by an old NAD amp (which is very nice)
and some small KEF speakers.

Thanks in advance for your help

Chris
