Subject: Steinberg MusicStation and GUS

Hi,

is anyone using the Steinberg Music Station with GUS ? I have the demo
version, and I can't make it produce any sound on GUS. When it starts up,
it seems to try to load all the GM patches in memory, which results
in memory being full with instruments from 1 to xx loaded in it.
I tried to put some instrument I need in memory using patch manager,
and then to play something using it's program number. No success.
Any idea ?

Hi Chris,

are you sure about this ?

I'm planning to use four GUS MAX cards simultaneously
for 4/8 track HD recording, and feel quite comfortable about it.
Am I the "Fool on the hill" here ?
Why should it be impossible ? If I set every card for different I/O
address, IRQ and DMA, all I need then is to use my own software to
operate the cards, and it has to work ! Am I wrong ?

Does SAW work with GUS ? I've heard that until version 2.6 it doesn't
support Windows divers, it supports only CarD, TB cards and SoundBlaster 16.
Starting with version 2.6 it should support normal Windows drivers. But
does it work with GUS MAX ? Did anyone try it ?
