Dear GUS musicians,
I am comparing prices for the Gravis UltraSound MIDI box. I've
seen it for $36 + $5 (S&H) for a total of $41. I think the FAQ is
outdated, so I'm not sure if Gravis is still selling it for $49.95. Does
anyone know how much it is now to buy from Gravis direct, or what the
price is in other mail-order catalogs? If you see it for a really good
price in a catalog, please give me the address and number of the company,
thanks.
I just bought a Kawai KC20 synthesizer. Besides standard MIDI
connections, it also has a serial port interface. Does connecting this
to a computer require special software for the computer to recognize MIDI
data transmitted via a serial port? Does MidiSoft recognize this
interface? Any other programs that do? Thanks.

Peter

Alright! Enough of all of this!... If they are nowhere to be found then
i'll start the slow laborious process of uploading 19 megs worth of files
and i'll put them onto epas in its own subdirectory (do they allow people
to create subdir's in the submit?). look for them over the next few days.
They should all be uploaded by tuesday or so, depending on how much time
i can spend on it, and on how badly i need to get out of windows during a
session. I just hope people grab them quickly before epas eats them up
again like they've been doing repeatedly over the last year or two.

Paul,

When did you look on archive.orst.edu? I just looked again today
10/28/94 (I've looked the last few days) and they don't appear to
be anywhere there. Does anybody know who actually owns the directories
and filespace on the archive.orst.edu machine? Who owns
propats?

Thanks for any help,

Fred Handloser
