Subject: Digital and/or synthesized...

Hi all,
I'm not sure whether this is a FAQ or not, but if so, please forgive me.

I was reading on the box that came with my GUS something mentioning digital
and/or synthesized voices....Does that mean the GUS is capable of producing
synthesized voices? I mean like sort of in the way you can create an
instrument using the on the sound blaster using the FM chips?

I'm just curious, since I figure if I create a synthesized instrument, it
might possibly take less space than a sampled instrument. Thanks!! =)
