MIDAS 0.50 (pre-release) unofficial patch
*****************************************
* Native support for AMD InterWave chip *
* 32 channels, 44.1kHz, smooth panning! *
*****************************************

Released on March 9th, 1996.

Extract this archive to your old MIDAS source directory and re-compile,
currently MIDAS 0.50 runs only with 32bit WATCOM - so this patch doesnt
work with 0.40 which is the latest real mode version... try to search
lines with "interwave" string from this new GUS.ASM and copy changes
around it to old 0.40 GUS driver if you need it.

******* NOTE
InterWave is detect by existence of "INTERWAVE" environment
variable. Be sure to have this set if you have InterWave
based card! Regular GUS users prolly get very weird effects
if this variable is set :-)

This patch has only been tested with Gravis UltraSound PnP with 2MB RAM
so I don't know if it works with other InterWave based cards, let me know
if it does or if you encounter any problems OR if you have accurate specs
for the chip... I'm especially looking for LFO and effect programming
specs!

ps. I'd suggest that if you are thinking about upgrading to GUS PnP, you
should wait a few months or so... DOS software *SUCKS* and Windows drivers
are buggy... and the hiss is much worse than GUS/GUSMAX. And as there's no
decent programming specs out, it doesn't really suit for my purposes. Don't
do like I did - spent my last $$$ on it :(
