Subject: Dropping Notes Again

Hi Janne,

>Recently I aquired a used Roland JX-3P synthesizer, with very basic MIDI
>implementation AND IT DOESN'T DROP NOTES, no matter how fast or slow I play.

I don't if there are any dropping notes when using the Ultrasound Midi
Output Port.
I only use a Midi keyboard to play something in the sequencer, and don't use
it sounds (they're terrible, GEM PX-7) So when playing the Midi file I'm
using the
Ultrasound Midi Synth, and then I have dropping Notes. A friend of mine only
draws his notes in the Key-Editor, he doesn't even have a Midi keyboard!
And he has also dropping Notes. So the Midi Synth (internal) has also Dropping
notes!!! And it doesn't matter which Sequencer you use.

>The former keyboard with problems was Korg DW-8000, with velocity sensitivity
>and aftertouch. Roland doesn't have any of these. Now I think the problem
>with GUS Windows drivers could have something to do with not respondig
>correctly for MIDI touch response information.

My friend doesn't even have a Midi keyboard and still dropping notes.

I think you're dropping notes are different from mine. I was talking about
the Ultrasound Midi Synth dropping notes and you were talking about the
Ultrasound Midi Output port dropping notes. (I reallt don't hope this is a GUS
hardware problem)

>I really hope they fix this problem out, it's kinda stupid to be forced
>to use the worse keyboard. I have informed GUS tech service about this.

If they can fix it. (hope so) and I don't know anything about the Midi Output
Port (I only use Midi In)
