Subject: GUS Max DDSP - any info?

In the GUS Max Fax that was posted to these digests it said that
the GUS Max has a "DDSP - Dedicated Digital Sound Processor :
More powerful than general purpose DSPs."

I wonder if anybody who is reading this digest has any further
information on what this thing really is. So is it really a
digital signal processor that could be programmed for example
to recognize speech, adjust the bass and treble etc. as I think
the ASP in the SB16s does?

Probably we'll again have to wait over half a year for the
SDK, but if anybody still had some other information..
