Subject: Using CPU Ram?

Greetings,

I was just wondering if there would be any way to allow a program to
load samples/patches into the CPU RAM as well as the GUS and have a program
(possibly a TSR?) use these just as if they were on the GUS itself? If
someone could manage this in a MIDI sequencer or some type of similar program,
the GUS would probably be the most popular sound card around and would have a
more professional sense to it.. 1 Meg is it's downfall. With this as a
possibility, then people could even have solid state battery backed RAM cards
and use them as sound modules.. I know openinn g up your computer and
replacing them would be a pain in the ass, but maybe you could have an external
cable and possibly house the cards in a box or something.. definintely a
thought worth thinking through.. Peace out.
