A replacement for the syntom.pat found in the Gravis Ultrasound GM set.

Background: I''ve been looking for replacement patches for a few of the
default GM set. Some of the standard MIDI instruments that Gravis provided
are pretty good, but some are, well, not. The biggest patch that I hear
every once in a while has been the Synth Drum (syntom.pat) patch. I find it
to be too muddy, too long, and too synth-y. So I decided to try my hand at
making patches.

This patch, syntom2.pat, is around 45k (compared to 61k of the origional)
and sounds more like a 'real' melodic drum. It is also has a much shorter
decay time, so drum rolls down the scale won't sound all muddy and yucky. It
only sounds slightly synth-y, so if you want a real synthetic drum, forget
this one. But it sounds very good if you prefer a more natural 'synth'
drum...

This patch was created using John Capps' excellent PatchRef 2.3 patch
tutorial, a 16 bit 41000k sample from the Kurzweil K2000 archive, Goldwave
2.0, and Patchmaker Lite.

Please let me know if you enjoy it.
