Subject: Stereo 16bit Playback

Ok, I've got another question. I'm working with some .WAV files and have
a player that can handle any combinations of Stereo/Mono, 8/16bits, Frequency
except Stereo 16bit. Stereo 8bit is fine, Mono 16bit is fine but not
Stereo *and* 16bit. I have very little information on the .WAV file format
apart from a header definition. It seems that 8 bit samples are signed
and 16 bit samples are unsigned, is this right? I assume it is
because everything sounds fine to me. The GUS *is* capable of stereo
16 bit playback isn't it? So why does it sound like white noise?

I'm setting DMA_16 when I DMA it to the GUS and VC_DATA_TYPE on
playback and I am using two voices for playback (i.e. software control
method). So what have I done wrong? There has to be a simple answer to
this!
