I've been experimenting a bit with playback of the .PAT file with the 
SDK.  However, the SDK is inconsistent, at times cryptic, and doesn't 
always give all of the information you might like to know...

For example, the patch header descriptions say that tremolo depth goes 
from off to 16 db, but the table goes to 12 db.  I am just going to 
assume that the correct value is 12 db...

But then, what about the implementation of tremolo?  My understanding is 
that decibels are 10 times the common log of the ratio between two 
values, meaning that for tremolo, the ratio is between the current volume 
and the depth of the tremolo.  How is that ratio applied to the volume?  
And should it be used with exponential or linear volume scales?

Also, the volume offset values given for envelopes: are they
exponential or linear?
