-------------------------SEMI GUS RELATED BELOW-------------------------------

Has anyone managed to get Cascada's "Hex Appeal" demo to work? It requires
607k base mem and 700k XMS - and you *can't* use any memory managers (QEMM,
EMM386..). I just can't get that much memory free without using a mem-manager.
I mean, DOS is damn necessary (18k) and I guess COMMAND.COM would be useful
(another 4k), ULTRINIT.SYS to install the GUS (1k) and we're already at
640 - 23 = 617k. Now I do have Doublespace (44k), (ie. I get 573k mem free),
but I can't disable it to run on the non-compressed drive! It's there whatever
I do to my autoexec's and config's. So I guess the question is, does anybody
know how to disable doublespace, just to be able to use the computer without
those 44k in base memory?

 Thanks,
 Erik

Hello,

I have asked this before, but has anyone else reading this have a GUS and
a SoundBlaster working together? I have mine working together, but I
believe
I need to adjust the settings a bit more. And was looking for others who
wouldn't mind sharing their settings. Or is there a DOC / FAQ file for this
information? If there is, would some kind soul email me?

Thanks...

I'm going to buy a sound card soon, and am curious to what people think
gives better quality sound: Wave Table Lookup or FM synthesis?
