Selecting contiguous files or folders is done by the following:

1 Go to the top or bottom of the list and hold down the shift key.
2 Arrow up or down depending on where you started out. This will highlight all of the files or folders you select.
3 Cut or copy using the standard clipboard commands, either control+X or control+C.
4 Navigate to where you're going and paste them in again using the standard clipboard command control+V.

Selecting non contiguous files or folders is done by the following:

1 After navigating to the first file you want hold down the control key.
2 arrow to the next file and then hit the space bar to select it. At that point you now have 2 files selected.
3 Repeat step 2 until you have selected everything you're after.
4 Repeat steps 3 and 4 in the previous example.
