USING NOTES IN OUTLOOK

Outlook has a nice feature called, Notes.

This is used something like sticky notes.

You can put in any information you want to access quickly in the notes.

I mainly use notes to keep track of phone numbers and addresses.

To create a note while in your in-box of Outlook, do the following:

Do a control shift N.

This will open the notes folder.

The first line of the note will be your subject and this is what will show up once you access your note folder.

Let’s say you want to note a phone number of someone.

After doing the control shift n, type in the persons name and press enter.

Type in the phone number.

You can add any other information you want to note about this person also.

When you are finished, press your escape key.

This will take you back to the in-box.

Put in another phone number using the same procedure above.

Once you have several phone numbers added, do a control 5.

This will open the note folder and you will see the last entry you have made.

You can press your right arrow, left arrow or up and down arrow to navigate through the entries.

Or you can quickly navigate through them by pressing the first letter of the entry.

Once you find the entry you want, press enter.

This will open that note and you can read it by using your arrow keys.

Or you can edit the note simply by typing in the info.

To close the note, press escape.

You can delete the note once you no longer need it by pressing the delete key while that note is highlighted.

To return to the in-box do a control shift I.
