Blazie Engineering would like to thank you for purchasing PCMASTER.
PCMASTER is a unique software program which gives you complete
control of your PC from your Braille 'n Speak or Braille 'n Speak 640
keyboard.
Along with this letter you will find a disk which will contain
several files. The first file is called PCMASTER.exe and is the
actual file which you will execute to load PCMASTER.
Here are some brief instructions on how to get PCMASTER up and
running. If you need more help, there is a file called PCMASTER.doc
which will provide detailed instructions on connecting the Braille 'n
Speak to your PC. This document also gives detailed instructions on
how to use PCMASTER.
Before loading PCMASTER, you will need to set Braille 'n Speak's
handshaking parameter to hardware. You will also need to enter the
status menu and set the interactive time out feature to 3. From the
status menu enter the letter X followed by the number 3. Enter E
chord to set the value to 3, and enter another E chord to exit the
status menu.
The next thing you will want to do is to put the Braille 'n Speak
into speech box mode. This is done by entering dots 1-2-3-4-5-6 from
the speech parameters menu. After Braille 'n Speak says "speech box
mode on", enter E chord to exit the speech parameters menu.
Now all you need to do is to run the PCMASTER program. Insert the
disk containing your PCMASTER software in your computer's disk drive.
After you have logged onto the drive containing the software, type
the word PCMASTER from the DOS prompt and the program will be
executed. If you are connected to Com 2, then type PCMASTER followed
by a space. Now write the number 2 to let PCMASTER know that you wish
to use Com 2. Press return and the program will be executed.
There is also a file on your disk called 13578642.dat. This file
contains the name of the user that this program is registered to.
When executing PCMASTER, this file should be in the same directory as
the PCMASTER program. If it is not, PCMASTER will assume that the
file does not exist and will run as a demonstration program and not
as a registered copy.
As mentioned above, you will want to read the file called
"PCMASTER.doc" for detailed instructions concerning PCMASTER. The
file "PCMASTER.braille" is identical to the "PCMASTER.doc" file
except that it is written in Grade 2 Braille. If you have a Braille
embosser, you may wish to print that file so that you will have a
Grade 2 Braille copy of the manual.
Thank you again for purchasing PCMASTER. Please feel free to write
or call us with any questions or comments concerning this product.
