New features not found in the other documentation:

Help messages: Using INSERT + H will give you a audio help message
which varys depending on where you are in Windows. This can be very
useful in learning dialog boxes and jump keys.

Screen Refresh: Using INSERT + ESCAPE will refresh the screen. There
are times that dialog boxes opened over text can create problems reading
the text after the box is removed. Refreshing the screen will generally
solve the problem quickly.

A special notice about doing an update to JAWS for
Windows version 1.1 or later is in the file
"UPDATE.TXT". The setup steps in this file must be
followed when updating from all JAWS versions that
precede version 1.1.

The table of contents for the training tapes which came with
JFW is contained in the file "TRN_TAPE.TXT". This can be
found in the JFW directory. We recommend
that all users take the time to review these tapes
which will assist you in getting a strong foundation in
both JFW and the Windows Environment.

An instruction Guide for installing a new copy of
JAWS is contained in the file "SETUP.TXT" in the JFW directory.

Information for purchasers of the JAWS for Windows
Timed Evaluation program is contained in the file
"TIMED.TXT".

A copy of the Henter-Joyce, Inc., Software License
Agreement is contain in the file "LICENSE.TXT", and is
also provided as a print document.

The text file "QUICKREF.TXT" contains a listing of
of the General JAWS Commands for both desktop and laptop
users.

The text files identified above are located in the
subdirectory with this README file. ASCII text files
for JAWS manuals are contained in the
"\JFW\MANUALS\ENU" subdirectory. ASCII text files for
technical notes are contained in the
"\JFW\TECNOTES\ENU" subdirectory.

All of our printed documentation for JAWS is also

     improvements and new features.

PassKeyThrough: Press this key first, then the following key is pass
through to the application, bypassing the JAWS macro processor. Very
useful if you use a laptop or like to use the same keys that the
application might use. It is currently bound to the Insert+3 (numbers
row) key in the default macro file, and is also found on the Alt+3 key
when JFW is installed for laptops. It can be moved to any key
combination you like.
